This option is for a single lesson, either online via ZOOM, Facetime or SKYPE, or in person (providing you are in travelling distance of TQ13, Devon, UK)
During the lesson, we will help you refine your understanding and playing of the piece you are working on. This would typically be for an upcoming public performance or exam but this is not a requirement.
A mutually convenient time and date for the lesson will be set as soon as possible after payment.
This course is designed for musicians who are preparing repertoire for an exam or concert or just want help with their performance skills and musical interpretation.
During each session, you will be given coaching on how to develop your playing and performance style through a deeper understanding and appreciation of the language and structures of the music.
Through analysis of the form, harmony and energetic flow of a piece of music, one can create a musical narrative which supports an expressive and natural style of playing.
The skills which you will acquire are transferable to any piece of music you work on in the future.
Most importantly, it will be fun and inspiring!
After completing the course, you will feel much more confident in your ability to prepare a piece of music for performance.
You will have acquired skills in analysis, approaches to practice and development of a performance style.
You will be encouraged to perform the music you have worked on in a concert at the end of term although this is not a requirement.
Sessions can be held in Ashburton (South Devon, TQ13 UK) or via ZOOM, FaceTime or Skype.
Once you have booked, we will co-ordinate a time for the session with you and send you an access code for a ZOOM meeting or a Face 2 Face lesson.
